The Bible says that Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today & forever. What has changed is the understanding of how we work with the Holy Spirit. Over the eons of time, man has lost the understanding of who God is, and the fallout has been we have not seen Him for who He is or what He wants to do through us.
This planet is where recovery happens; it does not occur in heaven. Recovery from what? Man’s participation with sin. We don't recover from sin in heaven; we are judged in heaven. We must want the Father to get back what He has lost through the deviation of what is right. The Holy Spirit is in recovery mode. Where sin abounds, grace much more abounds. The Holy Spirit implements grace through people; He doesn't do it all by Himself. You must believe that the Holy Spirit is up to the challenge to recover even the deadness of Christ’s body.
ACTS elders must embrace the power and authority the Holy Spirit gave. This world is so burnt out, buzzed up, embittered, and fragmented. With all that going on, what is going to get the attention of lost men & women or wayward sons & daughters? Are you preparing to have the Holy Spirit to be undiminished in your fellowships?
Challenge your fellowship the words of Christ: "My Father worketh hitherto, and I work." - John 5:17. The Father will join faith, not fear of failure.
